A monthly facility charge is assessed for any
utility service provided by the Village of New Athens that is turned on and
available for use for more than fifteen (15) day during the month regardless
of whether or not any usage has occurred. The following are monthly rates for those utilities
provided by the Village of New Athens. |

Information on the following service may be obtained by calling the
Village Hall at 618-475-2144 from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. The
Water
Department is
operated by the Village of New Athens. The
Sewer
Department is
operated by the Village of New Athens. The
Street
Department is
operated by the Village of New Athens. Residential
trash collection is provided by the Village of New Athens by contract with a
private trash hauler. The following services are provided by independent companies. Each individual company should be consulted
to determine terms of service.
Natural gas service is provided by Illinois
Power Company.
Electric service is provided by Illinois
Power Company and Egyptian Electric Company.
Cable
TV
service is provided by Charter Communications, Inc. Local
telephone service is provided by SBC
Communications. High
speed
internet access is provided by Harrisonville
Telephone Company (HTC) and Charter Communications. |
