all applicable provision of the Municipal Code of the Village of New Athens
and the statues of the State of Illinois.
Interested parties should contact the Village Hall for all the
requirement of the Municipal Code. |

Reference Municipal Code, Chapter 5, Article 4, Section 5.4.1, General
Requirements “No building located within the Village of New Athens,
whether used for residential or commercial purposes, shall be erected,
constructed, altered, remodeled or transported unless prior to the start of
such project there has been issued a Building Permit for such action.” In
order to obtain a Building Permit, you will need a site plan.

corporation to do any construction, demolition, or excavation in any street,
alley or other public place in the Village without having obtained a
permit………” Click

A Performance bond and proof of insurance is required before an
Excavation Permit can be issued. |

Liquor License Application |

Liquor Licenses are issued in compliance with the requirements of Chapter 21
of the Municipal Code. Click here for

There are six type of Liquor Licenses, depending on how the liquor is
sold and the hours of operation. Class
“A” - Package sale or by the drink, 1:00 am close Class
“B” - Package sale only, 1:00 am close Class
“C” - Package sale, by the drink (restaurant), 1:00 am close Class
“D” - Package sale or by the drink, 2:00 am close Class
“E” - Not-for-profit organization not to exceed 2 days per week, 1:00 am
close Class
“F” - Civic organization, daily license, 1:00 am close |
